Pulse is a parking garage design for an integrated command and communications center at Lightspeed, located in Miami. The facade design employs a rhythmic color sequence to evoke the pulse of a heartbeat - a universal marker for urgency, vigilance, and life. This metaphor reflects the building’s continuous operation as an active hub within the city, functioning day and night as a center for safety and rapid response.
By integrating programmable LED illumination, the facade transforms between day and night, operating as a civic lightbox whose visual rhythm remains visible across the urban landscape. This dual presence reinforces both the symbolic and functional role of the building as the enduring heartbeat of the city.
