Water Dip, Orange Park Aquatic Center, SF

Water Dip draws inspiration from the mysterious beauty of submerged worlds —evoking wonder, curiosity, and a longing to explore. Water Dip is a triptych composed of three custom-printed metal panels. Viewed from beneath the water’s surface, stylized aquatic plants stretch skyward. At the base, tangled roots anchor the composition in shadowy depths, gradually giving way to delicate blooms as they ascend toward the light. This upward transformation becomes a poetic metaphor for growth and vitality.

Water Dip supports a sense of optimism, energy, and discovery. Water Dip serves as both a visual anchor and an imaginative stage — inviting the community into a dialogue with nature. It encourages reflection while also celebrating the joy and vibrancy of recreational life. The work embraces themes of community, environmental awareness, and playful elements inspired by aquatic life and recreation.

A series of QR codes links to a website featuring animations (videos and sounds)related to the public artwork, serving as a bridge for community engagement and public interaction. Atelier Manferdini’s art proposal Water Dip includes integrated QR codes linking to a website. Atelier Manferdini will further develop the concept to enhance long-term engagement with the audience.
