Restorative Care Village, Los Angeles 2026
Water Dip is a printed mirror artwork created for the lobby of the Restorative Care Village at LA General Medical Center in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. The work was commissioned through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture’s Civic Art initiative as part of the RCV5 Restorative Care Village Psychiatric Subacute Complex.
Conceived for a healing-centered environment, Water Dip explores reflection as both a visual and experiential gesture. Its mirrored surface introduces moments of pause, orientation, and quiet engagement within the lobby, inviting visitors to encounter the space—and themselves—in a different way.
Our contribution is grounded in the belief that thoughtfully designed art and architecture can support moments of calm, reflection, and connection. We are honored to contribute to a project that recognizes the meaningful role of design in fostering care, dignity, and well-being for mental and behavioral health communities.
