Water Dip is a printed mirror artwork created for the lobby of the Restorative Care Village. Inspired by the tranquility of underwater space, the work explores softened light, diffused color, and slow, floating movement. California poppies are reimagined beneath the water’s surface, transforming a familiar regional flower into a dreamlike, calming presence.
Printed imagery and reflective surfaces merge the viewer’s reflection with the surrounding flora, creating a subtle and shifting interaction. Visitors can also scan a QR code to access a calming water and nature soundscape, extending the artwork into an immersive visual and auditory experience.
Water Dip acts as a visual pause within the lobby, bringing a sense of lightness, fluidity, and sensory calm to a space dedicated to healing, recovery, and supportive care.
