Hubert Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center entry gate, Los Angeles 2013

Nembi (Italian for Clouds) is a permanent public art project commissioned by LACounty. The artwork welcomes patients and staff in a safe, patient-centered urgent care environment that is accessible to the entire community.

Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center opened its doors on April 26, 1976 as one of the six comprehensive health centers operated by the County of Los Angeles. The facility was named in honor of Hubert H. Humphrey, who served as Vice President of the United States under President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1965 to 1969.

Nembi has been designed with the intent to create a strong relationship with the iconic green color bands of the Hubert Humphrey Health Center concrete façade and a memorable experience of the entry into the health center.

For more than 40 years, Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center has served patients in South Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center is located at 5850 S. Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90003.
